State Business Community Leaders Express Concern with Comprehensive Data Privacy Regulation

Over two dozen Massachusetts business community leaders and business associations recently signed a letter detailing their serious concerns with the House’s approach to comprehensive data privacy regulation in Massachusetts. While these organizations are open to a comprehensive approach to safeguarding consumer data consistent with most states, the concern is that H.4746 as drafted will put the Commonwealth’s employers at a significant competitive disadvantage, impacting both employers and consumers in negative and unintended ways.
