Dave Eidle was recently named the SVP, Commercial Lending Center Manager, at Rockland Trust.
Previously, Dave led M&T Bank’s Business Banking teams in Massachusetts. Dave joined M&T in 2018 and built the Eastern-
MA team as a start-up and it quickly became the #1 performing team in the Bank. Upon the Peoples United merger
into M&T in 2022, Dave was promoted to Head of Business Banking for all of Massachusetts. He manages offices in
Danvers, Boston, Worcester and Springfield. Prior to joining M&T, Dave held Executive Leadership roles with several
local Massachusetts banks, including Everett Bank and Legacy Bancorps, where he was the Chief Operating Officer
and Chief Administrative Officer respectively. Dave started his Banking career in 1986 when he joined Bank of New
England’s credit training program in Malden. He brings over 38 years of experience in commercial lending and
operations in the Greater Boston market with both regional and national banking institutions including Fleet Bank,
Bank of America, Santander and Berkshire Bank.
Dave is past President and Treasurer of the Everett Rotary Club. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the
North Shore Chamber of Commerce representing M&T Bank and has been very active in the North Shore community
for the past 23 years. His passion is mentoring young professionals in their career growth and aspirations. He was
instrumental in organizing the Emerging Leaders program at the North Shore Chamber which helps young
professionals in the North Shore communities accelerate their career growth through collaborative networking
events, professional development and financial education workshops.
Dave was born in the Bronx and grew up in the Hudson Valley of NY. He is a 1986 graduate of Marist College in
Poughkeepsie, NY where he rowed Division 1 crew for the Red Foxes. Dave relocated to Boston shortly after he
graduated to follow his girlfriend, Ivy O’Keefe, who grew up in Everett. Ivy had recently graduated from Vassar
College, also located in Poughkeepsie. Dave and Ivy have been happily married for the past 38 years and have lived
in Middleton for the past 22 years. Ivy went on to receive her law degree from Suffolk University Law School and has
been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1992. Their three children, David, Darcy and Dayna, all graduated
from Masconomet Regional High School and went on to further their educations, graduating with honors from
Hofstra University, Endicott College and Marist College respectively.
Dave remains a diehard Yankees fan but adopted all the other Boston sports teams over time, particularly his
beloved Bruins and Patriots. He and his family have been going to the island of Aruba for the past 35 years,
vacationing at their timeshare every April for two weeks at the Costal Linda Beach Resort located on the world-
famous Eagle Beach.
Dave is the President of the David W. Eidle Jr Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Fund was established by Dave and Ivy
to keep their son David’s memory alive, who passed away unexpectedly last July, by awarding annual college
scholarships in his name to local deserving scholar/athletes who exemplify the qualities and characteristics that
David lived his life by and the cornerstones of his education and professional career as a CPA.
