With the generous sponsorship of M&T Bank, the Emerging Leaders hosted the second session of their Financial Education series on Tuesday evening in the North Shore Chamber’s Education Center. Seasoned professionals from Wilmington Trust, a subdivision of M&T Bank, graciously provided their expertise to a room full of eager, young professionals. Dave Malone and Brenna Jones (Wilmington Trust) led the discussion, providing valuable information for those looking to begin planning for, or improve upon, their financial security.
Building upon the previous seminar, which focused on the first-time homebuying process, attendees were provided the tools and knowledge necessary to financially prepare for a significant purchase or investment. Malone urged everyone to take full advantage of their available resources and to begin saving as early as possible. He compared planning for your financial future to maintaining your health – making small, healthy and mindful choices are what will benefit you in the future. Establishing good, sustainable habits early on are imperative to growing long-term success.
