North Shore Bank recently met with representatives from Citizens Inn to present a $25,000 contribution to the Citizens Inn To Opportunity campaign.
The bank’s donation is part of their four-year, $100,000 commitment which aims to bring comprehensive services in dignified spaces to better address the root causes of homelessness and hunger. The campaign focuses on both capital improvements and the programs necessary to sustain the organization’s increased client-base, as well as implement the depth of services that Citizens Inn provides.

Their $100,000 investment in our Inn Transition program, dedicated to assisting families in early recovery from addiction, underscores their unwavering commitment to supporting neighbors in need.”
Kevin M. Tierney Sr., Chief Executive Officer of North Shore Bank explained, “The services provide by Citizens Inn are so important to our community, and we are always enthusiastic about offering our support. This contribution is an investment in the well-being of our fellow citizens.”
“Recovery is about breaking the pattern of instability, and those suffering from substance use disorders deserve a welcoming space to reestablish their self-sufficiency,” he added.
North Shore Bank’s gift will enhance physical space within Inn Transition, a program that provides comprehensive case management to families in early recovery in a transitional sober housing environment. The Bank’s contribution will also enable future programming for both parents and children in the program, including focus on children’s enrichment, parent-child relationship, early childhood development, complex trauma, and wellness.
