Gifts that Matter is a nonprofit organization supporting children and families in need on the North Shore when they face unexpected challenges. It provides essential items and enrichment opportunities that will positively impact their lives while promoting hope, resilience, and opportunity.
The organization works with schools and social service agencies that identify children and families who are in need of assistance at a critical time. Gifts that Matter helps low-income families by meeting their most pressing needs, such as providing a crib for a single mother with a disability, funding car repairs so a family can get to school and work, sending a foster child to summer camp, purchasing prescription eyeglasses for a young child, providing a mattress for a teenager who had been sleeping on the floor, or gifting a family their very first Christmas tree.
Additionally, Gifts that Matter believes that children from low-income families should have the opportunity to enrich their lives and assists in funding programs in sports, dance, music and academics.
