The Institution for Savings is hosting a “Drive-By Fall Food Blitz” on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon to collect non-perishable donations for area food pantries.
Community members are encouraged to bring donations to any Institution for Savings office (except Boxford or Depot Square in Ipswich) and volunteers will meet them at the car to collect the items. Participants who bring a bag filled with food and grocery items will receive a free insulated IFS tote bag.
Donations will be distributed to Community Action, Inc., Beverly Bootstraps, First Church Congregational Boxford, The Open Door, Acord Food Pantry, The Pettengill House, Inc., Town of Middleton Food Pantry, RowleyFoodPantry, Citizens Inn and Top Cupboard Food Pantry.
