In today’s professional environment of Zoom and Slack, networking is something people know they need to do but don’t do enough.  Professionals commonly get stuck at where to start, how to keep going, and how to approach people without seeming insincere or self-serving.

Wendy Hultmark of Wendy Hultmark Executive Coaching presented an interactive and engaging workshop at the Chamber office on Oct. 8 to a sold-out room of young professionals and students from Gordon College and Salem State University.

Topics included:

  • how to think about networking as empowering and mutually beneficial,
  • strategies to get started and keep going,
  • how to nurture these new relationships for long-term rewards.

The enthusiastic group of attendees was eager to get started practicing the new skills, as evidenced by the lively conversations and connecting after the session ended.

Thank you to the sponsors of the Emerging Leaders initiative, M&T Bank and Wellpoint.
