Twenty young professionals gathered in the Chamber’s Education Center to take in the first workshop in the “Money Smart: Building Your Future” four-part financial series presented by the Emerging Leaders initiative and sponsor, M&T Bank.
“Smart Starts: Budgeting, Debt Management and Loans” was presented by Jackson Gallant, CFP at Ledgewood Financial, and Jordi Bakovic, CFP at TQM Wealth Partners. After enjoying a light lunch, attendees gained tips on effective strategies for managing student loans, credit cards, car loans and other common types of debt for young professionals. Participants learned how to develop a monthly budget that works for their lifestyle and goals.
