The Chamber’s Small Business Council July meeting featured a lively discussion on marketing with a mix of digital, print and video media.
Three Chamber members presented on the topic of “Crafting Your Brand: A Discussion on Digital Marketing, Print and Video.”
Kristina Yannotta, principal of Triad Productions; Lori Michaud, marketing manager the Graphic Group, inc.; and Bill Hamor, principal WSI Hamor Group, shared insights and offered suggestions to help small-business owners reach goals.
Michaud focused on the importance of branding consistency, especially with colors, logos and messaging. Print materials – whether posters, banners, mail pieces or promotional items – are an important way to brand a business and reach new customers, she said.
Hamor, meanwhile, discussed the importance of having a digital marketing strategy that includes SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and now, the use of AI.
“Marketing is a symphony, and the digital component is the conductor,” he said.
He also noted the importance of tracking marketing effectiveness. “Marketing without measurement is like shooting in the dark,” he said.
Yannotta said that websites with video are 53 percent more likely to rank first in SEO. Furthermore, she said, 84% of people say they were convinced to buy a product after watching a video.
