Communications, Ink , a Beverly-based marketing, advertising, graphic design and digital agency, has been recognized by the NYX Marcom Awards, an international competition that recognizes, celebrates and honors creative excellence across all facets of industries.
There were more than 65,000 entries from the United States, Canada and 47 other countries.
The agency received the Gold Award distinction for its branding work for the Wenham Museum, a children’s doll and train museum containing interactive, hands-on exhibits. Both Communications, Ink and the Wenham Museum are members of the North Shor Chamber.
“We are humbled to win this award especially as it represents the power of trust and collaboration,” said Cara Hutchins, founder of Communications, Ink. “Great work is done when talented individuals come together through a shared goal and desire to elevate the work of a strong organization.”
Communications, Ink used the play concept to design a new logo — an interpretation of a whirlygig. The whirlygig is a colorful, simple, kinetic toy built and enjoyed throughout history. The icon is a playful interpretation of the vibrant energy sparked through play, creativity and human engagement.
The museum’s new brand, designed by Creative Director Melissa Wilbur, was integral in their 100th anniversary celebration.
The branding was rolled out across their print and digital marketing materials, interior design, social media, swag and a fundraising event with a powerful video.
For more than 25 years, Communications, Ink has been helping non-profits like Wenham Museum tell their story through messaging and design. Cara Hutchins is a very involved member of the Chamber, and serves on the Steering Committee of THRIVE, the initiative to support women in business.
