As the holiday season approaches, Coastal Windows & Exteriors of Beverly, in partnership with GAF, is donating a new roof to a Rowley veteran, Bill Kelly, on Wednesday Nov. 8. This is the fourth roof installation project under the company’s Roofs for Heroes initiative.
Kelly, is a retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran.
Living with an old roof comes with a myriad of potential problems, including leaks, mold growth, energy loss, and ice dams in the winter. Original to the building, Kelly’s roof was in dire need of replacement to protect him from the upcoming cold weather.
For a warm home and energy efficiency, Coastal Windows & Exteriors (CWE) is providing a new roof and labor at no cost to Kelly. Engineered with America’s No. 1 shingle, this roofing system prevents leaks, shields from moisture infiltration, and reduces attic heat and ice dam formation. Ice dams are a particular problem this time of year in New England.
The weight of ice dams can easily pull the gutter system off the roof, putting Kelly’s home at serious risk.
Kelly was thrilled to receive the news of his winter ready roof installation.
