This new year brings new laws that are relevant to all Massachusetts businesses – large and small. Business owners and professionals gathered Wednesday, Feb. 4, at the Salem Waterfront Hotel to enjoy breakfast and learn how regulatory changes will affect their business, employees, and bottom line.
Special guest John D. Colucci serves as Managing Director of McLane Middleton, one of New England’s premier full-service law firms with more than 115 attorneys in its offices in Woburn, Boston, and New Hampshire. He is also Chair Elect of the Board of Directors of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce. Colucci has a dual background as both an attorney and CPA and has extensive experience in all areas of business law, including handling commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and business succession planning.
Colucci offered an insightful presentation, conveying these often complicated regulations and policy updates in a comprehensive style. Attendees left with a greater understanding of the Pay Transparency Statute, Pregnant Worker Fairness Act, the FLSA Update, and the Noncompete Update.
As part of the Chamber’s effort to ensure an educated and trained workforce, Chamber members generously purchase tickets so that students are able to attend events for free. The Chamber thanks Rockland Trust for sponsoring students from both Salem State University and Gordon College to attend the February Breakfast Forum.
