After the pandemic hit in 2020, the nation saw a mass exodus of working women from the labor force as schools and childcare centers shut their doors. Three years later, inequities persist in the workplace that keep viable employees from working despite a similarly persistent workforce shortage across the state.
To address these inequities, Associated Industries of Massachusetts has launched its Pink Slip initiative and created a survey to gauge how employers can address the workforce crisis innovatively. The survey will remain open until July 31, and AIM hopes to receive as many responses as possible to enhance the Massachusetts data and highlight companies with innovative solutions.
