Cheryl Begin, a graduate of Salem State College, came to the North Shore Chamber from North of Boston Media Group, where she worked in the advertising departments of the Eagle-Tribune, Salem News, Gloucester Daily Times and Newburyport Daily News for the past 17 years. Previously, she worked in sales at the Boston Herald. Cheryl has more than 25 years’ experience working with local businesses. She enjoys helping business owners market their companies and keep their brand messages out in the community.
Cheryl grew up in Peabody and lived in Salem for the past 25 years until recently moving to Haverhill. She has been married to her husband, Tom, for the 32 years. She has two daughters, Courtney and Alyssa, a son in law, Jason, and of course, her pride-and-joy — grandson, Jacob.

Sonya joined The Chamber after a more than 30-year career in community journalism. She has been spotlighting local businesses throughout the region as a reporter and editor since 1988. Sonya has a strong affinity for the North Shore and all it has to offer, and believes the business community is vital to the success of the region. She is committed to promoting the wealth of enterprise, talent and opportunities that exist within the area communities.
A native of Haverhill, Sonya is a graduate of Northeastern University and served for four years on the board of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, Pasquale Sico, live in Amesbury and enjoy exploring the cultural and natural resources in the region.
