Looking to schedule a covid vaccination? Here’s what to expect at the DoubleTree site in Danvers
DANVERS — The DoubleTree Hilton hotel has been tapped as one of the state’s largest COVID-19 vaccination sites, operated by Curative, a California-based company.
As a service to the community, the North Shore Chamber of Commerce hosted a panel discussion on Monday to provide information on what to expect at the site, which is open daily for Phase 2 vaccinations for adults age 75 and older and select others.
Here are the highlights:
How do I book an appointment at the DoubleTree Hilton site?
Use this website link, which will take you to Curative’s scheduler:
Do I need my insurance card when scheduling the appointment?
No. The site asks for a copy of your insurance card, front and back. This step is optional, however, and you may proceed without attaching your card.
What should I bring to the appointment?
You’ll need ID to show your proof of age. Also, bring your health insurance card, and a printout of your appointment date and time, which you’ll receive via email from Curative.
Is there a cost for the vaccination?
The vaccination is free. However, Curative will bill the insurance companies of those adults who provide health insurance information.
Where do I park at the hotel?
When you head up the hill toward the hotel, you’ll be greeted by Danvers police officers who will direct you to the parking lot on the right of the building. The lots fills up quickly, however, so you may have to walk a short distance to get to the vaccination site entrance in the front of the building. Plan accordingly if you have mobility issues. There are accessible drop-off and pick-up areas; just ask the officers.
Should I arrive early to my appointment?
No. There is no waiting room inside, so please stay in your vehicle until 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
