Salem Harbor Station
The North Shore Chamber of Commerce 7:15am Executive Breakfast on Wednesday, April 4 at at the CoCo Key Hotel in Danvers will feature a Regional Energy Forum. The Board of Directors recently voted to “support the transition of the Salem Harbor Station from a coal-fired to natural gas electric generating plant in a manner that promotes mixed-use development of the property, retains a power supply for the region, maintains tax revenues for the city of Salem and results in economic growth and jobs.”

Our growing North Shore region will continue to benefit by having its own source of electric generation through the continued operation of the Dominion Salem Harbor Generating Station, hopefully, powered in the future by natural gas. The Chamber also supports fuel diversity, energy reliability, affordability and the development of green technology as it is developed and proven cost effective.
