Leaders of five of the region's colleges highlighted their efforts to address the workforce challenges facing businesses on the North Shore to launch The Chamber's 2023 Business Insight Breakfast Forum series.
Re-emphasizing its continued commitment to address workforce as its overarching focus, The Chamber sought insight from the colleges on what's being done to educate, train and properly equip our next generation of workers
to meet the labor needs of the region.
Featured speakers included:
Dr. Nate Bryant, vice president of student success at Salem State University
Dr. William Heineman, president of North Shore Community College
Dr. Kurt Steinberg, president of Montserrat College of Art
Dr. Lane Glenn, president of Northern Essex Community College
Dr. Mike Hammond, president of Gordon College
The college leaders discussed their workforce development initiatives and highlighted their internship and mentorship programs designed to enhance career planning efforts and expand career opportunities for their graduates.
